  1. consensus timers (cs timers 2.03 hc) hypercard stacks 97/07/05
  2. timers/alarms/planner/scheduler for meetings, cooking, etc
  3.  
  4. consensus timers are multiple timer/alarms designed for small
  5. meetings (2 to 12 people) to help track who has spoken and how
  6. long, and the time spent on agenda items.  overtime alarms,
  7. silent or audible, can help the group stay on schedule.
  8.  
  9. cs-timers can also be used for co-counseling, kitchen or darkroom
  10. work, miscellaneous reminders, and can simultaneously track any
  11. number of events/processes ranging from seconds to many years.
  12.  
  13. with up to 12 timers per card, any number of cards may be created
  14. and used simultaneously.  alarm times can be adjusted by dragging
  15. progress bars with the mouse, or by text-editing names and times
  16. (with auto-conversion hh:mm:ss <-> minutes), even while timers are
  17. running.  to assist planning and scheduling, the auto-total option
  18. can sum groups of timers, or distribute total time among them.

  20. i've given special care to making all of this easy, reliable, and
  21. unobtrusive in busy and distracting situations.  cs-timers can run
  22. in the background while you're using other HyperCard stacks and Mac
  23. applications, and active timers always measure real-world elapsed
  24. time accurately, even if you quit HyperCard or shutdown and restart
  25. cs-timers later.

  27. the stacks include example/template cards, and full documentation in
  28. hypertext with click-help (cmd-shift-click any object on any card).

  30. the scripts are open (userlevel 5, no password) and licensed users
  31. are welcome to use cs-timers as an educational resource for learning
  32. HyperCard and HyperTalk.  reminder alarms may also be set by scripts
  33. in other stacks.  please see the cs-timers stacks for more info.

  35. requirements:  any Macintosh (68020 or faster recommended),
  36.   HyperCard 2.3 or later (or HyperCard Player), 1050k memory
  37.   for HyperCard, and 200k disk space for the cs-timers stacks.
  38. to unpack:  .hqx = BinHex or .bin = MacBinary, .sit = StuffIt or
  39.   .sea = self-extracting (StuffIt Expander unpacks all of these)
